Entering Life's Biggest Adventure and Honeymooning in Florida

Well, a year later, I'm back to write about more adventures. For whatever reason, I haven't been inspired to write. And I don't know why, and I'm not going to think too hard about it or beat myself up over it. But today, I am inspired.

The man previously known as "Boyfriend" shall now be known as "Husband." Matt and I got married in May. I didn't want to do the "engagement" thing, so we didn't. We just got married on the lawn of the West Virginia State Capitol with a few friends and his father in attendance, then we spent a long weekend in Florida, and it was everything I wanted.

We stayed in Dunedin, Florida, near Tampa, at the Meranova Guest Inn, home of some absurdly fabulous pool-side breakfasts. They pampered us for four nights. We ate and drank a lot at Dunedin's fine restaurants, swam in the B&B pool, visited the beach at Caladesi State Park,  and, most memorably, swam with manatees and saw some amazing wildlife in Homosassa.

Absurdly good Meranova Inn Breakfast

Dunedin Brewery, home of some tasty beer and mind blowing cheese curds.

Slow down for manatees!

Wouldn't mind living in this house.

Beach at Caladesi State Park. Not what an OBX girl is used to.
I read a quote somewhere that said marriage is life's biggest adventure. And so far, I'm loving it. Our adventures are just MORE when we do them together. He pushes my boundaries, and I push his. I make him hike. He makes me rest. We reflect on the experiences we have together and it makes them more meaningful to us somehow. We grow together in our adventures, and I'm happy we've both agreed to stick together for the rest of our lives.
